
We’re back in the TPSS archival community cookbook, Feeding Ourselves, for our monthly recipe. This month, we’re focusing on the abundance of the harvest season. Cabbages abound. Let’s make some cole slaw. It doesn’t matter if people in your family don’t like it. It doesn’t matter if your friends don’t like it. Let’s make some cole slaw.
Ingredients
- 1/2 shredded or chopped cabbage head (any color, green or purple)
- 4 shredded carrots
- 1 sliced cuke
- onion rings from 2 small onions
- 3/4 cup mayo
- juice of one lemon
- 1 tsp Spike or seasoned salt
- freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1/2 tsp tarragon
Recipe
Combine all ingredients. Fills a large bowl and feeds approximately 10 people.
