OUR WORKPLACE CULTURE

TPSS Co-op is a community-owned grocery store powered by a team of approximately 50 dedicated staff members. We work collaboratively to serve our customers, support one another, and uphold the cooperative principles that guide our business.

We are a unionized workplace, and we believe in shared responsibility, transparency, and respect. Staff voices matter here. Managers meet regularly with their teams, welcome input on store operations and policies, and work toward solutions together. We strive to create an environment where people feel valued, supported, and treated with fairness and dignity.

We invest in our staff through hands-on training and skill development. Whether someone is just starting out in retail or building a long-term career in food systems and cooperative business, we aim to provide meaningful work and room to grow.

Our Commitment to Equity & Inclusion

TPSS Co-op believes that food access, economic participation, and community ownership are deeply connected to justice. We recognize that systemic and historical inequities have shaped who has access to opportunity, leadership, and stability in the workplace.

We are committed to building a team that reflects the diversity of our community and to creating a workplace rooted in respect, dignity, and belonging. We strongly encourage people from historically marginalized communities — including people of color, LGBTQ+ individuals, people with disabilities, immigrants, and people from working-class backgrounds — to apply.

Benefits for TPSS Co-op Employees
