Inspired by our friends at the Fredericksburg, VA Co-op—who provide only recycled bags for their shoppers—TPSS is experimenting with turning old t-shirts into reusable shopping bags.
There are a few easy ways to participate:
- Donate shirts: Drop adult t-shirts, sizes S-L, in our collection crate at the front of the store
- Join a Bag Bee: Help transform t-shirts into bags during one of our upcoming bag bees (see flyer on the right and email connect@tpss.coop to sign up!)
- Use an Upcycled Bag: Use one of our free t-shirt bags on your next shopping trip! They’ll be available in the “Take a Bag, Leave a Bag” box in front of the store. (Or, ask a cashier where to find one.)
