Each year, The Pollinator Group of Climate Action Coffee/Takoma Park Mobilization, tries to do something a little different to catch attention during National Pollinator Week (June 16-22, 2025). Sometimes it is speakers like Sam Droege, special tabling events and plant giveaways, webinars on native plants, etc. This year we are celebrating our essential creatures like bees, butterflies, moths, bats, beetles, hummingbirds, by promoting planting native plants upon which they need to survive, and creating habitat. Our sign project, modeled after the Burma Shave signs of the 50’s, will spread clever jingles throughout the City of Takoma Park as humerous reminders to take care of our littlest residents.
