We have a few fall updates for you! Board elections are in full swing. It’s time to start thinking about your holiday shopping. We’re helping produce dollars go further. And, the Co-op is hiring!

Warmly,

Co-op election season is here

Voting is open until November 10! We have 7 fabulous candidates for 4 Board seats this year. Every member-owner is entitled to 1 vote. And, your vote really counts! Learn about the candidates and then vote online! You can also watch candidate statements and answers to questions that took place during our annual Fall Member-Owner Meeting last weekend.

It’s going to be a different holiday season, so it’s time to get ready to shop differently for it. We’re already taking turkey, pie, and wine pre-orders! And, we’ve started ordering many holiday table stables. Shop early for shelf stable items to avoid lines and crowds close to the holiday.

We were so pleased to partner with Crossroads Market’s Fresh Checks program this summer to offer incentives on produce to SNAP (food stamps) users. And, now we are excited to share that the Co-op is going to continue this work through our Double Up @ The Co-op program! When shoppers use their EBT cards in-store or via our online store, they will receive 50% off all fresh fruit and vegetable purchases. Spread the word!

We’re looking for 2 new team members: a full time float stocker and a part time temporary staff person. The Co-op is a wonderful place to work. Considering joining us!

Stop by this weekend!

Indigro Plant Design will be popping up outside the store for a plant sale from 10-2! They will have a variety of indoor tropical plants available to help green up your home with the changing season. Come out and support this Takoma Park business!
