Co-op Owners and Shoppers –
First off, a heartfelt thank you for the outpouring of support we have received. From emails to posts on listervs to cards to calls into the store, your offers to help and words of appreciation are heartening and mean so much to us.
We have decided that another adaptation to our operations is needed to ensure we are able to continue to work to meet the needs of our community. Beginning Tuesday, March 17, the store will operate on reduced hours, being open from 9 am to 7 pm each day of the week.
In addition to a reduction in store hours, we have a few requests for you, our shoppers. For your own protection and that of our staff, we ask that you send only one person per household to shop at a time. We also encourage you to limit your number of trips to the store to once per week. Finally, we hope that you’ll consider shopping for neighbors, especially those most vulnerable, when you do come.
We are proud to be serving the Takoma Park Silver Spring community and thank you for your patience and flexibility as we navigate how best to do that during this time.
