Takoma Park is a city of little libraries. Takoma Park and Takoma DC each have their own public libraries. Takoma Park proudly has two different bookstores, People’s Book and HouseMouse Books in Laurel Leaf. We are, collectively, a combined township containing many readers. Honoring not only the back-to-school spirit but the end-of-summer blues that cause us to want to crack open new (or used) books, we’ve decided to host a Community Book Swap.

Please bring any books you’d like to the Customer Service desk in the Co-op and drop them off in the wooden crate labeled with the above flyer. On Sunday August 10th, we’ll have an outdoor Book Swap (with free snacks and beverages) between 3 PM and 5 PM.

Let’s end the summer reading even more books than we were before.
