We’re back on track with a recipe from our legendary archival cookbook, Feeding Ourselves: a Community Cookbook. Everyone loves a little treat that comes with surprise benefits. How about a boost of energy, and added ease of digestion? Let’s make Super Balls.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/2 cup carob powder
- 1/2 cup sesame seeds
- 1/2 cup nut butter (smooth)
- 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
- 1/4 cup wheat germ
- 1/4 cup flour of choice (einkorn, soy, whole wheat, almond flour for additional protein…)
- coconut flakes
Recipe
Combine all ingredients, except for the coconut flakes. Form the balls with your hands and roll in the coconut flakes. Nutritious candy! Makes 20 0 25 balls. Refrigerate after, if you manage to have any left after your friends and family devour these treats.
