This week’s edition:
‘Building Equity and Promoting Drawdown in our Regional Food Systems’
TPSS Co-op is joining Busboys and Poets and the Takoma Alliance for Local Living Economy (TALLE/Takoma Park Mobilization) to co-host the Climate Action Coffee series for the month of November, when we will be focusing on our regional food systems.
Please join us on November 6 for a conversation about: ‘Building Equity and Promoting Drawdown in our Regional Food Systems.’ We will be joined by Maryland Del. Lorig Charkoudian; Heather Bruskin, Montgomery County Food Council; Caroline Taylor, Montgomery Countryside Alliance; Ginia Avery, Community Grocery Cooperative; Philip Bogdonoff, Biodiversity for a Livable Climate; and other food systems leaders in our region. The aim of the November focus is to channel grassroots concern about resiliency in our regional food systems into support for existing efforts. We believe that our collective sense of urgency can be constructively channeled to further the work that food systems advocates are already engaged in.
Enjoy a free cup of Busboys and Poets Fair Trade coffee!
Full breakfast service is available. Participants are invited to continue the conversation following the program. RSVP on Facebook.
